Update

Due to time constraints, many editorial moves (physical ones, to other states) and an attempt at funding a third issue too quick in time, we have chosen not to put out an issue this summer/fall.  Please do keep in touch with us and know that we are continuing on.  We might have some great and rather large news to announce to you soon.

Thanks,

Tammy Editors

The Editors are currently in the process of making decisions on every submission from this year so if you have work lingering you will hear back by August 1st.  Additionally, we may be only publishing one issue this year, size is yet to be determined.

Tammy’s First Contest

Tammy is sponsoring its first contest! We are seeking responses to the dream that concludes George Kalamaras’s “The Dreams of Dreams” published in Tammy Issue I. “The Dreams of Dreams” is an imaginative transcript of a radio broadcast hosted by Robert Desnos wherein Jacques Prevert, Pablo Neruda, and Yannis Ritsos spontaneously compose collaborative responses to the dreams of people who call in to the show. The final dream in the transcript, however, remains uninterpreted.

This is an opportunity for Tammy readers to respond to the  final dream.  We welcome individual or collaborative work in any genre.  Any length is welcome.  George Kalamaras, along with the editors of Tammy, will select a number of pieces to be included in a dossier to be published in Tammy Issue III.

Entry fee for the contest is simply the price of issue 1 ($10). We will mail you the issue, and in it you will find the dream. If you already own issue 1, we will mail you issue 2 for your entry fee.

Good luck, happy reading and responding!

Issue Two and News

Hello Readers,

The reading period for Issue II is now over.  We received a remarkable amount of high quality writing during this period and very much appreciate those writers who did send and who allowed us to read such great work.  Issue II is full of great poetry and prose and is much different than the first issue.  We really hope you all enjoy and can spread the word.

Keep your eyes posted for news about Issue III, as we will be running a contest special, in which writers will be encouraged to respond to a piece from Issue I and have their work featured in Issue III’s dossier.  Thank you for reading and send people over for ordering information.

Cheers, Tammy
